Monster Strike Deadverse Reloaded draws inspiration from MIXI‘s Monster Strike mobile gacha game, classified as a “Pull hunting RPG” where players assume the role of a Monster Master. This will be the inaugural Monster Strike anime to air on terrestrial television in Japan. Previous iterations include the Monster Strike the Animation ONA, which debuted in October 2015 and encompasses three seasons/series, alongside various anime short films and movies.

The Monster Strike game was launched on Android and iOS in 2013 and also saw (now-discontinued) versions released in China, Korea, and globally.
