My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 continues the story from 2022’s My Dress-Up Darling. The series is adapted from the manga by Shinichi Fukuda, which was serialized from January 2018 to March 2025 in Young Gangan. The synopsis for Season 2 states:

While engaging with their classmates and making new cosplay friends, Marin and Wakana’s horizons broaden significantly. Will there be new developments in Marin’s feelings for Wakana that are filled with continuous excitement?

Square Enix presents the manga as follows:
Wakana Gojou, haunted by a childhood incident involving a friend who ridiculed his affection for traditional dolls, leads a solitary life, finding comfort in his high school’s home economics room. To Wakana, captivating Marin Kitagawa—a fashionable girl never without a group of friends—seems like a creature from another planet. However, once lively Marin—who never shies away—spots Wakana diligently sewing one after-school day, she intrudes, intending to involve her quiet classmate in her secret passion: cosplay! Can Wakana’s fragile heart withstand this charming invasion from an enticing alien?!
