Image source: ARC SYSTEM WORKS YouTube channelWith just a few days remaining until Cyberpunk: Edgerunners‘ Lucy enters the fighting game GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- on August 21, developer ARC SYSTEM WORKS has shared a Starter Guide video to explore the character.
“Lucy stands out in Neutral, showcasing exceptional mobility and ranged options,” the narrator states. “Unleash a multifaceted offense by utilizing her hacking abilities to apply debuffs.”
If you’re like me and find terms like Neutral or Roman cancels confusing without a quick search, the over six-minute video still provides an engaging and vibrant look at how Lucy and her abilities have been adapted into GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, a visually striking game in its own right.
Lucy will be available starting August 21 as the fourth and final character in GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-‘s Season Pass 4.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a web anime created by TRIGGER and led by director Hiroyuki Imaishi. The series takes inspiration from CD Projekt Red‘s Cyberpunk 2077 open-world RPG, which is set within the universe of Mike Pondsmith‘s tabletop RPG Cyberpunk, illustrating the rise and fall of David, a street kid who becomes involved with netrunner Lucy and her group of cyberpunks.
The anime made its debut on Netflix in 2022 and was recently revealed to be receiving a sequel directed by Kai Ikarashi (known for his work as storyboard artist on Cyberpunk Edgerunners Episode 6 and director on Tengoku Daimakyo Episode 10).
In the meantime, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- represents the latest chapter in the Guilty Gear franchise, which dates back to 1998. It was initially released in 2021 across various platforms and is currently accessible on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. Its narrative is described as:
Head into the ultimate clash with That Man, the individual accountable for all the chaos and ruin inflicted upon the world and its inhabitants. Team up with Sol Badguy, his rival Ky Kiske, and a diverse starting roster of 15 unique characters as they confront the breathtaking conclusion to a saga 20 years in the making!
A Guilty Gear anime, GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS, premiered earlier this year.
