© Qruppo／青藍島観光協会 WWWave’s OceanVeil streaming service is set to stream the “Seiran Island Version” and “Fully Regulated Version” of the upcoming Nukitashi the Animation for English-speaking audiences worldwide.
As the anime’s X/Twitter account disclosed a few days ago, the “Seiran Island Version” is deemed the “pervert version” with minimal censorship, while the “Fully Regulated Version” is the most secure version of the show. Japan will also receive a streaming version that includes certain censorship.
Nukitashi the Animation is adapted from the adult visual novel by Qruppo (full title Nukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Binnyuu wa Dousurya Iidesuka?, informally translated by its developers as What’s a Flat-Chested Girl like Me to Do on an Island Straight out of a Porn Game?). Shiravune describes the premise of the game as:
Seiran Island, a tropical eden where people can freely pursue their desires under a uniquely libertine law. But even in this paradise, there are those who work in the shadows to undermine it…
United, these misfits stand together as the secret society NLNS.
As their founder and leader, I, Junnosuke Tachibana,
am determined to dismantle this absurd law once and for all!
I’ve even secured a benefactor in a crusty old rich guy, name undisclosed…
He’s provided us with a covert base and substantial funding already.
In exchange, he wants us to find someone and “protect her at all costs.”
It seems she holds the key to our mission’s success…?
If that’s the case, there’s only one task at hand: locate this mystery girl.
And all while keeping the SHO off our trail, too…
Make no mistake! I’ll put an end to that law, just watch!
The Nukitashi game initially launched in Japan for Windows PC in 2018. It has a sequenced follow-up and a manga adaptation illustrated by Mameojitan. The latter began serialization in Beaglee’s Manga Oukoku in 2020, with physical editions released by Shueisha.
Nukitashi secured the Moe Game Award 2018’s Scenario and New Brand awards, while Nukitashi 2 was honored with the grand prize at the Moe Game Award 2019.
