Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse Unveils Latest Trailer, Features Tomoaki Maeno

A new fifth trailer for the continuing Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse TV anime series has been released, alongside the announcement of a new cast member. The original anime series debuted in Japan on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block on July 2, 2025.

Furthermore, the anime’s official Twitter/X account confirmed that Tomoaki Maeno will be voicing the character Kunihito, who serves as a public order official. This character will make an appearance in the show’s 10th episode, scheduled to air in Japan on September 3, 2025.

Hideya Takahashi (Urusei Yatsura remake and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind co-director) is directing the anime series and is involved in the drafts, while Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! Code Black) serves as series screenwriter, Kazuaki Morita (Classroom of the Elite) is the character designer, Kitsuneiro works as the concept artist, and Masahiro Tokuda (The Promised Neverland live-action movie) composes the music. Animation production is managed by David Production.
Akuto Sato (Haishi ni Chimeiteki ni Muiteinai Onna no Ko ga Meikan de Mokumoku to Hitodasuke suru Haishin author) is credited for plot drafts, with Katsuie Shibata focusing on setting research.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast of the anime includes:

• Ryohei Kimura as Abe no Seimei
• Kaito Ishikawa as Atsunaga
• Anna Nagase as Yura

Onmyo-Kaiten Re:Birth Verse was first revealed earlier this past March. A manga adaptation based on the series was created by Fujiko Sakano and illustrated by Kyujo Matsumoto. Sakano is also credited as the original creator of the anime. The manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Morning on February 6, 2025.

Narihira Takeru is a delinquent who frequently thinks about Tsukimiya, the girl who visits his dreams.
