©青山剛昌／小学館・読売テレビ・TMS 1996A one-hour Detective Conan/Case Closed special, designated as Episode “ZERO” and titled/subtitled Kudo Shinichi Suizokukan Jiken (Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Incident), is set to broadcast in January 2026.
As indicated by the “ZERO,” the narrative unfolds (slightly) prior to Shinichi’s Detective Conan days. The story follows Shinichi and Ran visiting an aquarium with the intention of planning a date to help restore relations between Ran’s parents, only to get involved in solving a mystery.

The Detective Conan television anime launched in 1996, and the inaugural anime film premiered in 1997. The franchise’s 29th film is set to debut next year during Golden Week.
