Crunchyroll Manga Launches in the U.S. & Canada on October 9

Crunchyroll has made an announcement today regarding its upcoming premium add-on app, Crunchyroll Manga, which is set to launch on October 09, 2025, in the U.S. and Canada, available on both iOS and Android platforms. The web version of the service will follow on October 15, 2025. 
Crunchyroll Manga is characterized by the company as an “ad-free experience” that will include “hundreds of titles from leading publishers.” Some featured publishers comprise AlphaPolis, COMPASS, Square Enix, VIZ Media, and Yen Press, alongside additional collaborators such as Shueisha, J-Novel Club, ThirdlineNEXT, and highstone. The company has indicated that more publishing partners will be revealed in the future. 
Moreover, some of the prominent manga series available on the app include One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, My Dress-Up Darling, The Summer Hikaru Died, Lycoris Recoil, Delicious in Dungeon, Sasaki and Miyano, Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, Maiden of the Dragon: Falling for the Demon’s Lies, among several others.

Crunchyroll Manga is developed by Japanese service provider Link-U Group and will be available as a standalone app, separate from the Crunchyroll streaming service. 
The company is set to present Crunchyroll Manga at this year’s New York Comic Con in October, where attendees can find hands-on demonstrations and panels regarding the new add-on at the Crunchyroll booth (#1643).  
Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan subscribers will receive Crunchyroll Manga at no additional cost. The newly updated pricing for the service across other subscription tiers is as follows: 

  • • Crunchyroll Fan subscription + Manga — US$11.99 / CAD$15.49 per month (includes Manga add-on at US$4.00 / CAD$5.50)
  • • Crunchyroll Mega Fan subscription + Manga — US$15.49 / CAD$17.49 per month (includes Manga add-on at US$3.50 / CAD$5.00)

All subscription tiers offer unlimited ad-free reading across mobile, tablet, and web, along with offline reading capabilities for downloaded chapters. Additional features include light and dark modes, full 2-page spread viewing, and the ability to create personalized reading lists. 
Crunchyroll Manga is set to replace Crunchyroll’s former digital manga service, which ceased operations in December 2023.
