Crunchyroll today revealed its most extensive Ani-May yet — a month-long, global celebration filled with experiences across screens, games, and real-world moments, providing fans everywhere with additional opportunities to unite, celebrate, and express their passion for anime.
This year, Ani-May expands beyond mere viewing — transforming May into a cultural moment where fans globally can explore new series, earn rewards, shop exclusive releases, and engage with the community like never before. Activations will feature fan-favorite franchises such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Hell’s Paradise, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Solo Leveling , and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
“Anime is something we celebrate every day, but Ani-May is our opportunity to strengthen that bond with fans even further. It’s a time to unite, revisit beloved favorites, discover new ones, and engage in ways that resonate,” stated Gita Rebbapragada, Chief Operating Officer, Crunchyroll. “Throughout the month, we’re innovating new methods to connect and celebrate as a community, all culminating in the Anime Awards, where we honor the creators behind the stories that inspire audiences worldwide.”
“It’s been amazing to witness the number of partners across the globe embracing Ani-May and desiring to celebrate anime with us,” said Scott Donaton, SVP, Global Brand and Community, Crunchyroll. “They acknowledge anime as a significant cultural bridge, and collectively we’re crafting moments that bring fans and communities together across every platform.”

Launching the celebration, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll starting April 30. Before the celebration commences, fans can also catch a special Ani-May Instagram livestream, featuring host Tim Lyu and guest actor Adam McArthur (Jujutsu Kaisen), who will provide fans with an exclusive preview of everything the month has to offer.
For the first time, Ani-May introduces a roster of ambassadors — including REI AMI, Big Sean, Noah Lyles, and others — collaborating with Crunchyroll’s character Hime to animate the celebration through cosplay, curated Spotify playlists, dubbing moments, and exclusive anime-inspired content.
This is just the start. Across the globe, fans can engage with Ani-May through local activations — and utilize Ani-May Central to discover events in their area.
