The new, dialogue-free entry focuses on Miu Takigawa, whose voice actor and real-life idol counterpart Nagomi Saijo recently completed her time in the 22/7 unit (the animation was featured at her graduation concert).
22/7 – The Diary of Our Days‘s episode featuring Miu reunites director Shin Wakabayashi (Wonder Egg Priority) along with character designer and animation director Yukiko Horiguchi (K-On! character designer). The unit director for the CloverWorks-produced short is Yusuke Kawakami (The Elusive Samurai assistant director, Bocchi the Rock! live performance director), and the animation producer is Shota Umehara (Bocchi the Rock!, My Dress-Up Darling Season 1).
The first episode of the series also featured Miu.
22/7 is an idol project associated with Sony Music and Aniplex that started in 2017. The unit’s roster has changed over the years, including 10 graduates (excluding Saijo) and some non-founding members. Following Saijo’s departure, there are now eight active members.
