Crunchyroll will present given The Double Album: Hiiragi mix & To the Sea in theaters across the United States for just one day on June 16. This double feature of romantic drama anime films includes given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix (the second entry in the given anime series) and given The Movie: To the Sea (the third installment). The film To the Sea will have its theatrical screening one week prior to its streaming availability on Crunchyroll.
Directed by Noriko Hashimoto, the given anime series and films are adapted from the manga penned and illustrated by Natsuki Kizu, with production by Lerche. This double feature will be showcased by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment in Japanese, accompanied by English subtitles.
given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix Synopsis: Following Ritsuka Uenoyama’s discovery of Mafuyu Sato’s singing, he invites Mafuyu to become a part of his band. They audition for a festival in Shibuya but don’t succeed, yet still manage to capture attention. Concurrently, Mafuyu’s childhood friends, Shizusumi Yagi and Hiiragi Kashima, are gearing up for their debut as the band “syh.” After losing a guitarist, Hiiragi approaches Ritsuka to join them for their significant performance.
given The Movie: To the Sea Synopsis: A chance encounter with singer Mafuyu Sato reignites Ritsuka Uenoyama’s love for music. Their band, Given, is on the verge of success while Mafuyu starts to doubt his role as the group’s singer.
