Renowned animation studio david production, recognized for Fire Force, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Cell’s at Work! and the 2022 release of Urusei Yatsura, is set to debut its first original animated series Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse, which will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll simultaneously on July 2 globally, excluding Asia, with new episodes airing weekly in Japan.
Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse is directed by Hideya Takahashi (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind; the 2022 version of Urusei Yatsura), who is also responsible for the original concept. The narrative is crafted by Fujiko Sakuno, accompanied by an original plot from Akuto Sato. The series composition was developed by Hayashi Mori, known for the screenplay of the animated feature film Drifting Home and the series composition of Cells at Work! Code Black and Sand Land: The Series.
Synopsis: Narihira Takeru is a delinquent who frequently thinks about Tsukimiya, the girl who appears in his dreams. Following an unforeseen accident, Takeru finds himself in a parallel universe, where Tsukimiya resides. After Takeru and Tsukimiya are killed by a monster, he awakens anew and realizes he has jumped through time. Now, Takeru must undergo training with Abe Seimei to fight for Tsukimiya’s survival!
