This first comprehensive glimpse at the supernatural action anime was paired with some announcements regarding the staff and cast. Shun Kudo (Grendizer U) will be directing at BENTEN Film, previously known as GAINA. Also part of the project are:

• Assistant director: Kosuke Murayama (Grisaia Phantom Trigger director)
• Action director: Kentaro Azuma (Grendizer U mechanical planner)

• Character design supervisor: Sayaka Ono (Wistoria: Wand and Sword)
• Music composer: KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Attack on Titan Final Season co-composer)

Petals of Reincarnation is adapted from the manga written by Mikihisa Konishi, which chronicles the life of the ordinary high school student Toya Senji, who encounters a sword capable of granting someone the skills of a former life by inflicting a wound on oneself. The series, published by Mag Garden, began in 2014 and is serialized in MAGCOMI and Monthly Comic Blade. Volume 22 is set to be released on August 8, 2025 JST.
