A new key visual and main opening sequence have been revealed for the ongoing Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse TV anime series, which will kick off its second cour with the 14th episode on October 3, 2025. The anime first debuted in Japan on July 5, 2025.
Meanwhile, the new ending theme for the second cour is “Shippai Shinai Menhera no Sodate-kata” by Yurina Hirate.
Takashi Naoya (Übel Blatt, Tale of Wedding Rings) oversees the direction of the anime series, with Matsuo Asami (Übel Blatt) as assistant director, Tatsuya Takahashi (Übel Blatt) as series screenwriter, and Sachiko Yasuda (My Happy Marriage [co-credit in Season 2]) serving as character designer. Staple Entertainment is responsible for the animation production.

The anime is adapted from the romantic comedy drama manga by Naru Narumi. It was published in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine from August 4, 2014 to June 4, 2015. The series subsequently moved to Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine and resumed on November 20, 2015, continuing until its conclusion on September 20, 2023. A total of sixteen tankobon volumes were released in Japan. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in 2019 for English digital release.
