In this instance, Tono delivers a rap-like narration for Asobi no Kankei, a new romantic comedy title from Gamers!‘s Sekina Aoi, with the opening lines introducing three main characters.
These characters include Mifuru Takanashi, a high school gal and part-time employee at a board game cafe; protagonist Kotaro Tokiwa, the owner of the cafe and a high school dropout; and a mysterious masked woman (the light novel refers to her as Utamaru).
Mifuru serves as the love interest for Kotaro. However, as she is already in a relationship, Kotaro fabricates a story that his affection is directed towards the professional shogi player Utakata Tsukino. Complicating matters is the fact that Utakata regularly visits Kotaro’s cafe in disguise.
The first volume of Asobi no Kankei was launched on May 20 JST. It is released under the FANTASIA Bunko label and illustrated by Kurehito Misaki.
