Ayumu Murase, Natsumi Fujiwara Head Japanese Voice Cast of Netflix’s Leviathan Anime Adaptation

Netflix has revealed the Japanese voice cast for the anticipated Leviathan anime series. The show is set to start streaming globally on the platform on July 10, 2025.

Leviathan will make its world premiere at Anime Expo 2025 in collaboration with Qubic Pictures on July 4, 2025, at 7:15 PM PST. 
Christophe Ferreira (Eden character designer, Le Monde de Milo comic co-creator) is at the helm of the series, while Joe Hisaishi contributes the original songs for the project. Nobuko Toda (Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045) and Kazuma Jinnouchi (Suzume, RWBY: Ice Queendom) are the music composers. Orange will handle the animation production. 
Justin Leach and Taiki Sakurai are listed as the executive producers, with Qubic Pictures responsible for producing the entire project. 
Scott Westerfeld’s original novel was released on October 6, 2009, featuring illustrations by Keith Thompson. It is part of a trilogy that contains the sequels Behemoth (2010) and Goliath (2011).

Netflix and Orange summarize the main plot of Leviathan as: 
Prince Aleksander, the would-be heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, is fleeing. Deryn Sharp, a commoner disguised as a boy in the British Air Service, encounters him. As World War I is on the horizon, Alek and Deryn’s paths intersect in an unexpected manner… launching them into a fantastical adventure around the globe that will irrevocably alter their lives.
