Nobunaga Shimazaki reprises his role as Baki for the TMS Entertainment-created series. Here’s the plot summary, provided by Netflix:
After the conclusion of the ultimate father-son fight on earth, Baki and other iconic fighters are struck by crushing boredom. Simultaneously, 364 meters below Tokyo Skytree, a covert scheme is initiated aimed at resurrecting the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi… Now unleashed in the present day, this formidable new adversary employs his swordsmanship with unmatched power and speed to confront Baki and his allies. © 板垣恵介(秋田書店)／刃牙道製作委員会The Baki-Dou manga is the fourth installment of Keissuke Itagaki‘s Baki martial arts saga and takes place after Baki Hanma’s confrontation with his father. The manga was serialized from 2014 to 2018 in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion and is compiled into 22 volumes.
The Baki franchise originated in 1991 with Baki the Grappler, and currently features seven main Baki series alongside numerous spin-offs. The latest main installment is Baki Rahen, which launched in 2023.

The manga has also inspired a 1994 OVA and a 2001 television series, with a Netflix anime debuting in 2018. The Netflix adaptations include 2021’s Baki Hanma and the second season of Baki Hanma released in 2023, along with last year’s crossover anime, Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura.
