©SL/A, A, BThe Kissa LycoReco (@LYCO_RECO) X/Twitter account has released a new Lycoris Recoil illustration featuring Chisato and Takina huddled under a small umbrella. This artwork suggests that the duo is returning home after a shopping trip together.
Lycoris Recoil, which was broadcast in the Summer 2022 anime season, is a unique girls-with-guns action anime in which the covert organization DA (Direct Attack) deploys teenage female agents known as Lycoris to uphold peace in Japan by preemptively curtailing crimes through lethal means. Chisato, recognized as the strongest Lycoris, and the serious-minded Takina, serve at a DA branch called LycoReco, which operates as both a legitimate cafe and a service provider.
©SL/A, A, BAn upcoming Lycoris Recoil anime project was announced in February 2023. The original anime has also inspired the new short anime series Lycoris Recoil -Friends are thieves of time.- which premiered in April 2025, along with an NFT initiative, a manga adaptation, spin-off manga, spin-off light novels, and even a stage play.
