The new preview showcases six characters, including protagonist Saku Chitose and his thoughts about youth, while hinting at an engaging atmosphere and some striking visuals.
Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle is set to premiere in October. It is based on the light novel series written by Hiromu and illustrated by raemz, marking the series directorial debut of Yuji Tokuno (storyboard artist and episode director for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 20, OSHI NO KO Episode 10, YAIBA: Samurai Legend Episode 6). Yen Press describes the books’ premise as: Being popular isn’t easy. It’s hard to beat Saku Chitose. The most popular kid in his high school? Check. An ironclad reputation that can weather even vicious online attacks? Check. A group of friends as attractive on the outside as they are inside? Check. But when a teacher asks for his help bringing back a student who has been shut away in his room for months, Saku’s perfect world will never be the same. What is this, some kind of normie harem story…?
The light novel series, published under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko label, began in 2019 and has nine main volumes as of August 2024. There is also a manga adaptation published by Square Enix.
