The official X/Twitter account and website for the ongoing Gachiakuta TV anime series have disclosed the casting of Kana Hanazawa in the role of Amo. This anime made its debut in Japan on July 6, 2025, and plans to run a total of 24 episodes.
Amo will be introduced in the upcoming 10th episode, airing on September 14, 2025. She is characterized as a mysterious girl, sporting shoes that bear the same logo as Rudo’s gloves.

Fumihiko Suganuma (chief episode director for Train to the End of the World, storyboard artist, and director for T.P Bon Episode 6) is overseeing the direction of the anime series, while Hiroshi Seko (Wind Breaker, Jujutsu Kaisen) serves as the series screenwriter. Character design and chief animation direction are handled by Satoshi Ishino (Godzilla Singular Point), with Yoshino Matsumoto contributing as the sub character designer and chief animation director. Animation production is being managed by BONES FILM (originally credited under Studio Bones at announcement).
The anime draws inspiration from the dark fantasy action manga series by Kei Urana (with graffiti art by Hideyoshi Ando), which first appeared in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine on February 16, 2022. To date, fifteen tankobon volumes have been issued as of June 2025, with the 16th volume set to launch in Japan on September 17, 2025. The series is published in English by Kodansha USA.
The manga was recognized as a Shonen Category finalist in both the 47th and 48th Kodansha Manga Award.
