Taiten Kusunoki Added to Cast of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince Season 2

The official Twitter/X account of the I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability TV anime series announced that voice actor Taiten Kusunoki is now part of the ongoing second season’s cast. Season two debuted in Japan on July 9, 2025, and will consist of 12 episodes.
Kusunoki voices the Black Dragon, a formidable chimera set to appear in the 10th episode of the second season (22nd episode overall) on September 10, 2025.

Jin Tamamura (A Sister’s All You Need series director) is at the helm of the second season, with Naoki Tozuka (T.P. Sakura: Time Paladin Sakura) taking charge of series writing and scripting, Naru Nishikori (Shadowverse Flame in-between checker) serving as character designer and chief animation director, Yuichi Abe (Superior Defender Gundam Force director) as action director, and R.O.N as music composer.
The original light novel series is authored by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru. It first hit the shelves through Kodansha’s Ranobe Bunko on July 2, 2020, and by July 2025, 10 volumes have been published. The story initially began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 31, 2019.
A manga adaptation by Yosuke Kokuzawa started in June 2020. It has been licensed for English release by Kodansha USA.
