© TSUBURAYA PRODUCTIONS, TOEI ANIMATIONTsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation are collaborating on a CG anime film named Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara.
This project is part of the broader Kaiju Decode initiative, which previously included a short anime and VR animation.
The upcoming film is centered on the narrative of a “Kaiju” and a girl” and takes place in Sakai. An excerpt from the official description states:
A youth named Maru lives in the peaceful City, a society freed from the restrictions of the body, mind, space, and time. In contrast, a girl named Coco, a member of the Aidara Tribe, resides in the Zone, a treacherous area also inhabited by incredible beasts. The story revolves around two opposing characters seeking a path into a shared future.
© TSUBURAYA PRODUCTIONS, TOEI ANIMATIONOn September 12 JST, an illustration for Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara was released by JNTHED (known for their work as the co-mechanical designer on the Urusei Yatsura remake, production designer for Spriggan [Netflix], and assistance with mecha design in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker).

A talk event featuring voice actor Hiroaki Miura and Toei Animation producer Koichi Noguchi will be held on October 19 JST, discussing the film’s production and other topics at Sakai City Hall. Additionally, there will be a PR booth featuring a Kaiju Decode “super multiverse MR game.”
The Kaiju Decode initiative was announced during the Tsuburaya Convention in 2019.
