TMS Entertainment has revealed plans to release a specially curated episode selection of Detective Conan, one of the most iconic anime in Japan as it approaches its 30th anniversary in 2026. This episode collection, debuting on Crunchyroll and Netflix, aims to let both new and longtime fans experience significant moments from the long-running series, including episodes that have never been accessible in the U.S. until now. This event marks Detective Conan‘s first-ever U.S. release on Netflix and the introduction of the series’ entirely new English dub on Crunchyroll.
The initial selection, titled “Conan vs. The Black Organization,” will spotlight episodes centered around the main antagonists of the series, available for streaming starting July 3 in both English sub and new English dub.
To celebrate the release of this episode selection and to count down to the 30th anniversary of the anime series in January 2026, the Detective Conan: Cinema Saturdays campaign on YouTube will kick off the following week as a special initiative for North American fans. Over 26 weeks, Detective Conan theatrical films will be made available for free streaming on the Anime! on TMS Official Channel.
Beginning Saturday, July 12, a new movie will premiere weekly at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET, marking a countdown to the franchise’s landmark anniversary. After the YouTube premiere watch party, where fans can enjoy the movie together in real-time, the film will remain available for seven days before being replaced by a new movie each week. This will be the first occasion that Detective Conan films are accessible on YouTube in English, including several titles debuting in North America.
As part of the celebrations, Anime Expo will host the U.S. premiere screening of Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine. This critically acclaimed film is the first in the franchise to surpass 10 billion yen in Japanese box office earnings. It will be screened on July 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the JW Marriott Diamond Ballroom, where attendees can participate in a trivia quiz for a chance to win exclusive Conan merchandise!
