The MangaPlus X (formerly Twitter) account has revealed that the manga platform will be releasing a new manga Witchriv beginning October 23 JST. It will have a simultaneous launch in Japan on Shonen Jump+.
The creator of Witchriv is Hakuri. They have previously been involved with the manga One Room of Happiness, which tells the story of a girl and her kidnapper. The promotional image for Witchriv features a female character with braided twintails.

Don’t miss it‼ pic.twitter.com/tlxDhTrcoh— MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA (@mangaplus_o) October 2, 2025
The character bears a striking resemblance to (and is likely) Meriri, the main protagonist of Hakuri’s 2024 one-shot Meririrarariri, who is a young witch training under her mother’s guidance. In the context of that narrative, humans harbor a strong aversion to witches, and utilizing magic necessitates serenity.
MangaPlus also announced the simultaneous launch of Yu Miki‘s Bateren Kaidan, which will start on October 3 JST.
