It is adapted from a manga published by Shueisha, illustrated by Betten Court and written by Hideyuki Furuhashi. Viz Media outlines the manga’s concept as:
Koichi Haimawari couldn’t become an official hero, so he uses his modest Quirk to perform good deeds during his free time. Then a chance meeting with some local thugs leads him to collaborate with two other unexpected heroes. None of them truly know what they’re doing, but they possess the bravery—or perhaps the folly—to try. However, they will soon learn that combating evil requires more than just courage…
The manga first appeared in 2016 and wrapped up in 2022, with a one-shot published in April 2025. The series has been compiled into 15 volumes.
