The Japanese broadcast and streaming information indicate that the series will feature a “CENSORED” version and an ‘original” version (the latter airing on AT-X). As outlined in a press release, the July 4 Anime Expo screening (set for the Peacock Theater at 8:30 PM) is rated “18+,” while a censored screening will be available at the same event on July 5 (408AB at 6:30 PM).

The Japanese version of the anime’s website notes that it will also be accessible on other streaming platforms, although Prime Video appears to be the first to offer new episodes.
New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt serves as a sequel to the 2010 Gainax-produced Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. The storyline is summarized as:
A HYPER-CRAZY, BATTLE-ACTION, HUMAN COMEDY DRAMA featuring the BITCH ANGEL SISTERS on a rampage!
In Daten City, a domain between heaven and hell, sinister spirits labeled as “Ghosts” roam the streets, consuming human desires and resentment.
Yet, when darkness reigns, two figures arise to eradicate these vengeful spirits with a divine light beyond mortal comprehension.
Their identities? Panty & Stocking!
These fallen angel sisters are charged with expunging the darkness engulfing the earth.
But who truly are they?
Are they genuine messengers of God… or embodiments of the Devil?
