© NOVELOUS/Shogakukan/MyAnimeList/HoneyfeedShogakukan’s NOVELOUS app has revealed that voting has commenced for the “MyAnimeList x Honeyfeed Writing Contest,” running until July 24, 2025. Winners will be announced on August 4, 2025.
Judges have chosen ten finalists from almost 500 entries, with their works being showcased on the NOVELOUS app. Fans in North America can now cast their votes for their favorite original light novels through the NOVELOUS app, with additional information available on the contest’s official website.
In addition to having their stories featured on NOVELOUS, three finalists will be awarded a combined total of US$9,000. The prize allocation is as follows:
- • US$3,000 — Highest-voted story in the “Love Transcends Boundaries” prompt category
- • US$3,000 — Highest-voted story in the “The End is Now” prompt category
- • US$3,000 — Light novel with the most votes overall from official event judges
The NOVELOUS app was initially launched earlier this January and is accessible on both iOS and Android devices. It currently provides English translations for over 80 popular light novel, manga, and webtoon series spanning various genres.
The Japanese Nikkei newspaper reported in July 2024, via Anime News Network, that NOVELOUS employs AI translation for its English publications, utilizing the Mantra translation system.
