Kodansha has revealed a new collaborative music video for Medalist featuring Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu with his track “BOW AND ARROW.” This song serves as the main opening theme for the inaugural season of the TV anime adaptation.
The music video celebrates the upcoming release of the manga’s 13th volume set to be published in Japan on June 23, 2025. It showcases various scenes from Tsurumaikada’s ice skating manga series with limited animation. Natsumi Haruse and Takeo Otsuka, who voice the lead characters Inori and Tsukasa in the series, reprise their roles for the music video.
The first 13-episode season produced by ENGI premiered in Japan on January 4, 2025, and concluded on March 30, 2025. A second season was announced shortly after the conclusion of the first season in March. The series was available for streaming on Hulu and Disney+ in select English-speaking regions outside of Japan.
The manga first appeared in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon on May 25, 2020, and has since released 13 tankobon volumes as of June 2025. Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English in both print and digital formats.
The manga was awarded the Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho 2022 in the “Comics” category and received the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award in the “General” category.
