M.A.O lends her voice to Akira, while Mamiko Noto voices Rion. Additional cast announcements include Hino Satoshi as Kanaguri and Daiki Yamashita as Mafuyu Seba.
It has also been revealed that go!go!vanillas’ “Dandelion” will serve as the ending theme for cour 2, alongside a special behind-the-scenes episode set to air on July 7 JST (effectively July 8 at 12 AM JST).
Sakamoto Days adapts the manga created by Yuto Suzuki, which began in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and boasts 22 tankoubon volumes as of June 2025. Viz Media summarizes the story as:
Following a peaceful period since leaving the underworld, Sakamoto runs a local shop with his wife and child, having become somewhat out of shape. However, his past catches up to him as a visitor arrives with a proposition he cannot turn down: re-enter the assassin life or face death!
The anime’s first cour launched in January, and it is available globally on Netflix, which releases new episodes every week.
