The ongoing Umamusume: Cinderella Gray anime, which is currently in the midst of its first cour, has unveiled a new character trailer and visual.
The trailer showcases the horse girls set to appear in the forthcoming “Chuo Hennyuu” arc, transitioning the story from the prologue arc’s Kasamatsu to the advanced Chuo racing level.

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray is adapted from the manga illustrated by Taiyo Kuzumi, with Masafumi Sugiura (the series composer of Umamusume S1) handling the script, and Junnosuke Ito (S1 producer) as planning composer. Amazon Prime Video summarizes the anime as follows:
Umamusume are racers who inherit the names and spirits of legendary racehorses from another world. Among them is Oguri Cap, a countryside-born Umamusume with an insatiable appetite! Unbeknownst to those around her, the potential of this ashen-haired “Beast” will soon propel her to the national stage and lead her down a legendary path. Follow her journey in this hot-blooded Cinderella story!
Umamusume: Cinderella Gray is part of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby media franchise developed by Cygames, which features a mobile game due for an English release on June 26. Previous anime installments include the 2018 P.A.Works-produced TV series, the second season in 2021 (produced by Studio KAI with P.A.Works providing support), and the 2023 third season produced by Studio KAI.
Additionally, there’s the web anime Umamusume: Pretty Derby — Road to the Top, which streamed on the Pakatube YouTube channel, along with the anime film Umamusume: Pretty Derby — Beginning of a New Era. Both were created by CygamesPictures.
The Umamusume: Cinderella Gray manga has been running since 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump and has 18 tankoubon volumes released as of March 2025. The anime will consist of two split cours.
