Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc has maintained its position at the top of the Japanese weekend box office for the third consecutive week, with Kogyo Tsushin reporting a moviegoer count of 577,000 and a gross of 897 million yen (~US$5.96 million) for the weekend spanning October 3 JST to October 5 JST.
Its total domestic gross to date, since its premiere in Japan on September 19 JST, is estimated to be 4.3 billion yen (~US$28.59 million). Internationally, Box Office Mojo indicates a worldwide gross of US$44.4 million. The film is yet to be released in North America, where it is scheduled for an October 24 premiere.
As previously noted, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle secured second place on the Japanese weekend box office chart. Its weekend attendance and gross were recorded at 272,000 and 432 million yen, respectively. The total domestic gross has now exceeded 35.7 billion yen (~US$237.3 million), while the worldwide gross is estimated at over ~US$757 million, making it the fifth highest-grossing film of 2025.
In the weekend box office ranking’s top 10, the other anime films were Eiga Kimi to Idol Precure ♪Omatase! Kimi ni Todokeru Kirakki Live! at 9th and 100 METERS at 10th, which premiered on September 12 JST and September 19 JST, respectively.
