The three additional cast members feature Hiroshi Kamiya as Yusuke Sakuma, Makoto Kaneko as Toshiki Tsutsui, and Iori Saeki as Rika Togane.

The latest trailer showcases the new season’s opening theme “Amadeus” performed by Galileo Galilei and closing theme “Ao no Maho” by ChoQMay.
Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!) is once again at the helm for the second season, with Yuko Kakihara (The Aquatope on White Sand) serving as series screenwriter, while Kazuaki Morita (Classroom of the Elite) acts as character designer. The music for the series is composed by Akira Kosemura (Futaribun no Shoumei “Ahead of Us” theme song) and Kanako Hara, with Nippon Animation handling animation production. The Senzoku Gakuen College of Music Philharmonic Orchestra provided the orchestral performance for the anime.
The anime draws inspiration from the Japanese music drama manga series by Makoto Akui. Its serialization began in Shogakukan’s MangaONE app on April 25, 2017, followed by a release on the Ura Sunday website on May 2, 2017. As of March 2025, twelve tankobon volumes have been published, with a 13th volume scheduled for release in Japan in October 2025.
