It draws inspiration from the iconic Akira poster featuring Kaneda approaching his bike, replaced with Major Motoko Kusanagi and a Fuchikoma.
The illustration made its official debut at the Masamune Shirow exhibition’s current Osaka location (Shinsaibashi PARCO), which opened its doors on September 5 JST and will continue until October 5 JST.

The exhibition was first announced last May, coinciding with the revelation of a new, Science SARU-produced anime adaptation of Ghost in the Shell.
