The image showcases several characters from Jujutsu High and is noted as the first visual, hinting that Cursed Spirits and other characters may appear in their own visuals in the future.
What’s known for sure is a special anniversary program on August 31 JST, featuring five “big” announcements, which will include updates regarding the adaptation of the “Culling Game” arc. Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori), Yuuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro), and Asami Seto (Nobara Kugisaki) will be part of the program.
©芥見下々／集英社・呪術廻戦製作委員会The initial season of Jujutsu Kaisen aired from late 2020 to early 2021 and comprised 24 episodes, followed by the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 released in December 2021. Season 2 aired from July to December 2023, during which the “Shibuya Incident” arc commenced a few weeks post the “Hidden Inventory” arc.
The anime draws its story from the manga by Gege Akutami, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018. It followed a four-chapter predecessor, now known as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and concluded in 2024. Viz Media summarizes the manga as:
Though Yuji Itadori appears to be an ordinary teenager, his extraordinary physical strength is eye-catching! Numerous sports clubs want him to be part of their team, but Itadori prefers the company of school misfits in the Occult Research Club. One day, the club comes across a sealed cursed object. The first season of the anime and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 were both directed by Sunghoo Park (God of High School, Ninja Kamui), whereas Season 2 was directed by Shota Goshozono (Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 17, Ranking of Kings Episode 21, and Chainsaw Man Episode 8 storyboard artist and episode director).
