Kingdom Season 6 is scheduled to debut in Japan this October. The series is adapted from the Shueisha-published manga set in the Warring States period, created by Yasuhisa Hara. Crunchyroll characterizes the anime series, which commenced in 2012, as follows:
Shin and Hyou are war-orphans in the kingdom of Qin. They aspire to prove their valor on the battlefield until Hyou is seized by a minister. The boy successfully escapes and returns to his village, albeit gravely injured. Shin then encounters a mysterious boy who strikingly resembles Hyou—a boy destined to become an emperor!
