After the project announcement and the initial teaser release, REMOW Co. Ltd. revealed that three more Japanese voice actors have joined the cast of Psyren. Based on the psychic battle action manga by Toshiaki Iwashiro (serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008 to 2010) and recognized three times for the event’s ‘Manga We Want to See Animated’ ranking, the new series is scheduled to premiere this year on Japanese broadcasters and global streaming platforms.
Synopsis: One day, high schooler Ageha Yoshina discovers a mysterious “red phone card” left in a public telephone booth. A few days later, his childhood friend and classmate, Sakurako Amamiya — who had the same card — suddenly disappears without a trace.
In her search, Ageha becomes entangled in the rumors surrounding a nationwide series of mysterious vanishings, allegedly orchestrated by a secret organization known only as “Psyren.” Upon accessing the group, a perilous game commences — one that will alter his destiny forever.

Shunsuke Takeuchi (Gachiakuta, Kaiju No. 8) will portray Hiryu Asaga, a high school student of the same age as Ageha Yoshina and Sakurako Amamiya.
“This is a series fans have long wished to see animated, and I’m thrilled to finally help bring it to life!” Takeuchi expressed. “Hiryu is always being dragged into bickering with Ageha, and I’m excited to convey that dynamic. I believe the anime beautifully captures the essence of the original, so please look forward to it! Stand tall — Spiky Dragon Hair!”
Soma Saito (Beyblade X, Rurouni Kenshin) takes on the part of Oboro Mochizuki, a popular actor who, despite his friendly demeanor, recklessly seeks the thrill of life.
“I’ve cherished the original manga for a long time and had always hoped for an anime adaptation — so I’m truly overjoyed to be involved as the voice of my absolute favorite character,” Saito noted in the announcement. “As a fan myself, I can’t wait for the broadcast to start! I truly hope many will tune in and enjoy it.”
Lastly, Yukihiro Nozuyama (Record of Ragnarok, Tokyo Revengers) was revealed as the voice of Kabuto Kirisaki, a carefree troublemaker who loves money — and girls!
Nozuyama shared, “I’ve poured my heart into showcasing all sides of his charm — his sharp wit, his cuteness, his coolness. I gave it my all in the recording booth, facing it head-on, without running away! Everyone — this is the anime adaptation we’ve all been waiting for, isn’t it?”
