'Petals of Reincarnation' Blossoms on HIDIVE on April 2

AMC Networks’ HIDIVE has announced the premiere information for the highly anticipated new supernatural action series Petals of Reincarnation, one of its most eagerly awaited anime simulcasts of the Spring 2026 season. The new series will launch on Thursday, April 2 at 12:30 a.m. ET / 16:30 UTC exclusively on the platform, with new English subtitled simulcast episodes releasing every Thursday throughout the spring.

In conjunction with the premiere announcement, HIDIVE also unveiled the official English language versions of both the new Petals of Reincarnation key visual (shown above) and promotional video (watch below).

Synopsis: An object known as the “Branch of Reincarnation” possesses the ability to confer the talents of past lives to individuals, provided they use it to slit their own throat.

Toya Senji is a teenage boy grappling with low self-esteem as a result of living in the shadow of his exceptionally talented older brother. He resolves to focus on academic pursuits as his final attempt to discover talent, yet finds no fulfillment even as he consistently ranks in the top 100 for national mock exams.

In a fateful encounter, Toya meets one of his classmates, Haito Luo Buffett, a “Returner” who has revived the skills of her past life through the Branch of Reincarnation while battling a serial killer.

The Petals of Reincarnation anime series is adapted from the manga created by Mikihisa Konishi, published by MAG Garden, and produced by BENTEN Film (Forest of Piano, The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting, Grendizer U).

The series is helmed by Shun Kudo (Grendizer U, Gundam franchise), in collaboration with story editor Atsuo Ishino, assistant director Kosuke Murayama, and action director Kentaro Azuma. The creative team also features character designer and character design supervisor Haruna Kato and Sayaka Ono, mech designer Wataru Ianata, background art designer/director & art director Kenta Masuda, color designer Tomoe Yoshimura, and composer Kohta Yamamoto (Pony Canyon).
