Netflix has unveiled a fresh main trailer for the anticipated second cour of the Sakamoto Days TV anime series, which confirms a July 14, 2025 premiere date along with a new opening theme. The anime’s initial cour concluded with its 11th episode on March 22, 2025, after starting on January 11, 2025.
The new opening theme song featured in the English-subbed trailer is “Method” by the Japanese rock band Kroi.

A Japanese edition of the trailer was also made available.
Masaki Watanabe (Bakumatsu, Battle Spirits: Mirage) directs the anime, with Taku Kishimoto (Blue Lock) serving as the series screenwriter, Yo Moriyama (Megalo Box director and co-sub character designer et al.) as character designer, and Yuki Hayashi (Haikyu!!, My Hero Academia) as the music composer. TMS Entertainment handles the animation production.

Netflix streams Sakamoto Days globally, outside of Japan, with a weekly release schedule.
The anime is adapted from the manga series by Yuto Suzuki, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on November 21, 2020, and has published 21 tankobon volumes as of March 2025. A 22nd volume is set for release on June 4, 2025.

In addition to the manga, the series has also inspired a novel adaptation in April 2023 and a spinoff manga in July 2024. Another spinoff novel was released in December 2024.
