©タイザン5／集英社・「タコピーの原罪」製作委員会The Takopi’s Original Sin anime has obtained a main trailer, main visual, and streaming premiere date of June 28 JST (effectively June 29 at 12 AM JST) in Japan.
In addition to revealing more about the anime’s tone, cinematography, and animation, the trailer showcases the newly confirmed theme songs “Happy Lucky Chappy” by ano (the opening) and “Glass no Sen” by Tele (the ending).
©タイザン5／集英社・「タコピーの原罪」製作委員会Takopi’s Original Sin is adapted from the manga by TAIZAN 5, which began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump+ in 2021. MangaPlus outlines the premise as:
Takopi journeys from his home on Happy Planet to distribute happiness across Earth, encountering the unsmiling Shizuka upon his arrival. Her friends at school and her family life appear to be the cause of her dreary demeanor, and the kindhearted Takopi is resolute in transforming her situation for the better! But what revelations await him as the drama unfolds?!
The manga released its second and final volume in 2022.
