The Furious Princess Decided to Take Revenge light novel series by Metabo Hagure (with illustrations from Masami) began in 2022 and is set to release its seventh volume on August 19, 2025 JST. The storyline follows young lady Elisabeth, trained from a young age to be the future empress, who faces the annulment of her betrothal during a national founding celebration and is imprisoned. Angered by the betrayal, Elizabeth decides to escape the kingdom and seeks assistance from a viscount of a neighboring nation, intent on revenge. In addition to her extensive information network and financial skills, Elizabeth possesses seven grimoires to assist her.

The Furious Princess Decided to Take Revenge originated as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel in 2020. The narrative was among the award winners in the HJ Shousetsu Taishou 2021’s Shousetsuka ni Narou category.
The light novels have also inspired a manga adaptation.
