©柴田ヨクサル／ヒーローズ・Tojima Rider ProjectA fresh key visual, trailer, and four new cast members have been announced for the forthcoming Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider TV anime series at this year’s Aniplex Online Fest. The anime is set to start airing in Japan on October 4, 2025, and will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll globally.
Takahiro Ikezoe (SHOW BY ROCK!!) is at the helm of directing the anime series, with Toko Machida (7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!) as the series screenwriter, Cindy H. Yamauchi (Divine Gate) as the character designer, and TeddyLoid (Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt) as the music composer. LIDENFILMS is responsible for the animation production.
Additional team members include Yoshihiro Ujiie (The Water Magician) as the prop designer, Ishigaki Pro’s Yukihiro Shibutani (TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Seasons 1-2) and Ayano Aizu as art directors, with movwav’s Takayuki Yamaguchi (Steins;Gate 0) serving as the sound director.
The anime adapts the tokusatsu manga series by Yokusaru Shibata, which was first published by Hero’s Inc.’s Monthly Hero’s magazine on May 1, 2018, and later transitioned to the Comiplex website on November 27, 2020. As of April 2025, a total of sixteen tankobon volumes have been published.
