The Dan Da Dan anime series is based on the manga by author Yukinobu Tatsu, currently serialized in Shonen Jump Plus through Shueisha. Produced by Science SARU (DEVILMAN crybaby, Inu-Oh, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), Dan Da Dan Season 2 is co-directed by Fuga Yamashiro, who directed the first season, and long-time Science SARU veteran Abel Gongora, who was responsible for the opening theme animation in the first season. Composer kensuke ushio (Chainsaw Man, DEVILMAN crybaby) returns for the score. The opening theme, titled “On The Way,” is performed by hit J-Pop artist AiNA THE END, while the ending theme, titled “Doukashiteru,” is performed by renowned J-Rock artist WurtS.

Original creator Tatsu previously served as an assistant to Tatsuki Fujimoto on his globally successful series Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch, as well as Yuji Kaku on Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku. The original manga series recently exceeded 10 million in sales, more than doubling its circulation after the worldwide success of the animated adaptation.
