Wotakoi is a warm romantic comedy about adult otakus navigating love and work. Hirotaka’s relationship with Narumi is wholesome and delightfully awkward. He’s reliable, calm, and refreshingly down-to-earth. If you adore gentle boyfriends who game and share forehead kisses, he’s definitely worth your attention.
Effortlessly relaxed and the epitome of an unbothered gamer boyfriend, Hirotaka is laid-back, sarcastic, and secretly very caring. He might appear emotionally distant at first, but the more you watch, the more you see his sweet and considerate nature come through.
8. Kento Nanami (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Nanami embodies calmness and maturity—he’s serious, stoic, and possesses a dry sense of humor that surprises you. His presence feels reassuring, making you trust him to maintain order even when chaos reigns. His iconic sunglasses compliment his personality perfectly.

In Jujutsu Kaisen, where pandemonium and curses are rampant, Nanami serves as the dependable adult amidst impulsive teens. His strong work ethic, distaste for overtime, and quiet care for those around him make him relatable and endearing. He’s the eye of the storm—calm, competent, and unexpectedly sweet.
7. Ranpo Edogawa (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Ranpo is a whirlwind of chaos and brilliance wrapped in a quirky detective persona. He may appear clueless sometimes, but don’t underestimate him—his “ability” is simply his incredible deduction skills. The glasses serve more as a prop to unlock his extraordinary analytical prowess.
This series features a group with supernatural abilities solving mysteries and confronting dark organizations. Ranpo doesn’t need powers—his intellect is sharp enough. He’s quirky, dramatic, and lovable in his own eccentric way. If you enjoy clever, over-the-top characters with a soft heart, Ranpo is the one for you.
6. Shiroe (Log Horizon)
Shiroe isn’t your conventional flashy hero—he embodies the calm, strategic mastermind archetype, which makes him incredibly appealing in a subdued, confident manner. His glasses? An essential part of his charm. He always seems to have everything under control, but there’s a lot happening beneath that composed surface.
In Log Horizon, players find themselves trapped in an online game, with Shiroe taking on the role of the glue holding everything together—not through sheer strength, but by outsmarting others. He’s intelligent, loyal, and constantly several steps ahead. If you appreciate clever characters who create worlds with logic and emotion, this anime (and Shiroe) is sure to satisfy.
5. Yuuri Katsuki | Yuri on ICE!!!
Following a challenging defeat at the Grand Prix Finale, 23-year-old Yuuri Katsuki returns home, uncertain about his future in figure skating. He feels out of shape, downhearted, and as if his dreams of success are fading.
However, everything takes a turn when a video of Yuuri flawlessly mimicking a routine by world champion Victor Nikiforov goes viral. To everyone’s astonishment, Victor arrives at Yuuri’s home and proposes to coach him. Yuuri eagerly accepts the opportunity, embarking on a challenging comeback journey—one fraught with rivalry, especially with young competitor Yuri Plisetsky, who is determined to outshine him.
Yuuri is undeniably adorable, and I adore all of his expressive moments. The connection between him and Victor is truly priceless.

4. Kousei Arima | Your Lie in April
Kousei Arima was once a piano prodigy—until the death of his mother left him unable to hear his own music. For two years, he has shied away from the piano, trapped in a dull, colorless existence alongside his friends Tsubaki and Ryouta.
That is, until he encounters Kaori, a vibrant violinist who alters his life. With her bold spirit and passion for music, she gradually encourages Kousei to reenter the musical realm he abandoned and to rediscover both the beauty and the agony of playing once more.
I was in tears watching this anime, like many others who experienced it. Not only is he charming, but I resonated with his struggle against depression, anxiety, and PTSD more and more. This is definitely an anime you should be tuning into!
3. Ootori Kyouya | Ouran High School Host Club
Everyone adores the Shadow King—Kyouya adds such unique flair to Ouran High School Host Club! The story begins when Haruhi, a brilliant scholarship student lacking an elite background, inadvertently wanders into the school’s opulent Host Club while searching for a quiet study spot. After breaking a wildly expensive vase, she finds herself roped into working for the club to repay her debt.
Due to her androgynous appearance and knack for charming girls, Haruhi becomes a convincing male host. What ensues is a whirlwind of rich-kid antics, extravagant costumes, and hilarious escapades with an unforgettable cast—from the princely Tamaki to the calm-and-dangerous Kyouya, alongside the rest of the comical crew.
2. Takumi Usui | Maid Sama!
Usui doesn’t sport glasses constantly, but when he does…wow. Misaki Ayuzawa is the first female student council president at a previously all-boys institution, and she has cultivated a fierce reputation for keeping the boys in line. Yet outside of school, she works secretly at a maid café to support her family. She’s managed to keep this under wraps—until the school’s most popular guy, Takumi Usui, unexpectedly walks in and discovers her secret.
He could easily ruin her reputation… or manipulate the student council president and use her secret as a way to get closer to her.
1. Rei Ryuugazaki | Free! Iwatobi Swim Club
And of course, the top spot goes to my all-time favorite anime boy in glasses…Rei!! Haruka Nanase has a deep affection for water and a passion for swimming. Back in elementary school, Haruka alongside his friends Rin, Nagisa, and Makoto achieved victory in a relay race together—but then they went their separate ways. Years later, they reunite in high school, yet Rin isn’t keen on rekindling their past friendship. He’s now at a different school and solely focused on proving he’s a superior swimmer compared to Haruka.
Haruka, Makoto, and Nagisa establish the Iwatobi High School Swim Club post-reunion, but they require one additional member to compete. Hence, they recruit Rei, a former track athlete who Nagisa persuades to join. As they prepare diligently for the impending tournament, the team’s bond strengthens—and Haruka gears up to finally confront Rin once more.
There you have it! A selection of the finest (in my opinion) anime boys with glasses. Naturally, there are many others out there. I mean, there’s also Sebastian and Grell from Black Butler, and COUNTLESS others, but these are my top picks.
