Additionally, it was disclosed that Shinpei Nagai (Fantasia Sango – Realm of Legends assistant director) will be the new director for this season.

The manga, which started in 2012, consists of 34 volumes as of August 2025. VIZ Media outlines the narrative as:

One-Punch Man originated as a self-published web manga by ONE in 2009. The anime’s inaugural season, directed by Shingo Natsume and produced by Madhouse, debuted in 2015, while the second season, directed by Chikara Sakurai at J.C.STAFF, launched in 2019.
