In the Kingdom of Ei, five clans offer their maidens as imperial consorts—but only one will be named empress. Just when the delicate and enchanting “court butterfly” Kou Reirin looks ready to wed the crown prince, envious “court rat” Shu Keigetsu hijacks her body! Reirin finds herself in the dungeons as the plotter, with her situation appearing grim… or is it? Now that she has a strong new body, not even the imminent threat of execution can deter her!
