© WEBTOON Entertainment/Merryweather Media/SONICdream WEBTOON revealed its collaboration with DJ and producer Slushii’s SONICdream creative label for a new webcomic series named Sapient Dream. The webcomic is set to launch exclusively on the English-language platform on July 6, 2025.
This original “shonen action” science fiction webcomic is authored by Julian Scanlan (Slushii’s real name) alongside anime producer Rob Pereyda, with production attributed to Merryweather Media.

WEBTOON outlines the main synopsis of Sapient Dream as:
Sapient Dream follows Kuro, an ostensibly ordinary high school student burdened by vivid, surreal dreams. When he saves a peculiar alien sludge monster, Kuro is propelled into a galaxy-spanning conflict against malevolent forces that endanger his reality — and his identity. As Kuro discovers unforeseen powers and forms unlikely partnerships, he must face the nightmare that links his dreams to the universe’s destiny.
