©魚豊・講談社／『ひゃくえむ。』製作委員会100 METERS is set to premiere in Japan on September 19 JST and has been acquired by GKIDS for an October release in North America. This film is based on Uoto‘s (Orb: On the Movements of the Earth) first serialized manga. GKIDS’ synopsis for the film states:
100 METERS follows Togashi, a track star who is born to run. Once a young boy, he possesses a natural talent, winning every 100-meter race effortlessly. However, in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who has determination but lacks finesse. In guiding him, Togashi gives Komiya a fresh purpose: to achieve victory at all costs. As time progresses, Togashi and Komiya encounter each other once more as competitors on the track, revealing their authentic selves.
