Supporters of Hirohiko Araki’s remarkable JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise can mount their steeds in anticipation of the Netflix launch of the new anime series STEEL BALL RUN, with the official English dub trailer unveiled today. The English-language voice cast has also been announced ahead of the debut of the 1st Stage (47 min.) on March 19.

Synopsis: Set in 1890 America, the Steel Ball Run — the inaugural horse racing championship across the North American continent — is about to commence. Covering nearly 4,000 miles, the race boasts a $50 million prize for the winner. Johnny Joestar, once celebrated as a gifted jockey, now faces paralysis and deep sorrow. He discovers hope in the enigmatic events surrounding Gyro Zeppeli, an outlaw aspiring to secure victory in the race, and resolves to enter the Steel Ball Run Race. With their individual objectives, the two establish a partnership and embark on a challenging adventure and race.

From the comprehensive franchise animation studio david production, STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is adapted from a narrative by Araki and is helmed by Yasuhiro Kimura, Hideya Takahashi (Golden Wind) and series director Toshiyuki Kato (Stone Ocean, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan). The series composition is crafted by Yasuko Kobayashi, a veteran of all JoJo series. Daisuke Tsumagari (Stone Ocean, Golden Wind) serves as character designer and chief animation director, with sub character design contributions from Yui Kinoshita, Grand Guerrilla, Minoru Murao, and Chii. The soundtrack is composed by Yugo Kanno (Stardust Crusaders, Diamond Is Unbreakable, Golden Wind, Stone Ocean), while sound direction is overseen by Yoshikzu Iwanami, another seasoned JoJo professional.

The English voice cast features Daman Mills (Tanaka in The Summer Hikaru Died) as Johnny Joestar, Kaiji Tang (Jinshi in The Apothacary Diaries) as Gyro Zeppeli, Damien Haas (Warden in Beyblade X) as Diego Brando, Frankie Kevich (Jade in Rainbow High) as Lucy Steel, Jamieson Price (Yukichi in Bungo Stray Dogs) as Steven Steel, Alejandro Antonio Ruiz (Izana in Tokyo Revengers) as Sand Man and Cedric Williams (Leo in FriendZSpace) as Pocoloco.
