The latest character trailer has been revealed for the upcoming Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show TV anime series, featuring the manga artist NAO-KICHI. The series is set to premiere in Japan on July 1, 2025.

Masato Matsune (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians) is at the helm of the original anime series, with Makoto Uezu (KonoSuba) handling the story draft and screenplay, Jiro Suzuki (Revenger co-original character designer, Umineko no Naku Koro ni: Episode 2: Turn of the Golden Witch manga artist) as original character designer, Hiroshi Kosuga as character designer and chief animation director, and Evan Call (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) as music composer. Studio Gokumi is responsible for animation production, while Cygames oversees the overall production.

Crunchyroll will stream Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show worldwide, except in Japan, and provides the main synopsis as follows:
Miko Kurono, known as Necronomico, graduates from middle school and chooses to follow her aspirations of becoming a streamer. One day, while with her childhood friend, Mayu Mayusaka, and her rival, Kanna Kagurasaka, she accepts a challenge to play a new VR game. This game allows Miko to take on mysterious quests alongside other unique streamers she encounters in the VR universe.
