The official Twitter/X account for the TV anime series A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace has revealed the casting of Jun Fukuyama as Nana Futami’s former editor, Masayuki Todo. The anime debuted in Japan on October 6, 2025.

Fukuyama is joining the anime’s main voice cast, which features:
- • Yuko Natsuyoshi as Nana Futami
- • Sora Amamiya as Kanade Sato
- • Miku Ito as Mizuki Hazama
- • Yu Kobayashi as Arisa Nashida
- • Eriko Matsui as Toku Kakunodate
- • Miharu Hanai as Nekonote
Kaoru Suzuki (DIVE!!) is directing the anime series, with Mio Inoue (Slow Start) serving as series screenwriter, and Kana Miyai (The Apothecary Diaries co-sub character designer, RWBY: Ice Queendom co-main animator) as character designer. Voil takes care of the animation production.
The anime is based on the comedy manga series by Kuzushiro, which first began serialization on Kodansha’s Comic DAYS website on May 18, 2019, and has released 13 volumes as of September 2025.
