The latest special visual for the upcoming Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter TV anime series has been unveiled, highlighting the timid Felicia Fosse. The series is set to air in Japan starting July 5, 2025.
The anime is adapted from the fantasy light novel series by Riku Nanano, illustrated by cura. It originally debuted under Kadokawa’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint on December 20, 2018, and has published 19 volumes as of April 2025. A 20th volume is set for release in Japan on July 18, 2025.
The series began as a web novel on Kakuyomu on October 6, 2017, and led to a manga adaptation by Tamura Muto in 2018, which has published four tankobon volumes by February 2024. J-Novel Club has licensed the light novel and manga for English digital distribution.
Crunchyroll will stream Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter early on Crunchyroll worldwide, beginning June 28, 2025. The main synopsis is described as:
After Allen didn’t pass the court sorcerer exam, he found himself unable to return home despite his wishes. While on the lookout for employment, a surprising job offer comes his way to be the private tutor of the duke’s daughter. Just as he lets his guard down, he encounters a girl who is completely incapable of using magic! But what is the reason behind her inability to cast spells? Allen’s unorthodox lessons gradually illuminate the girl’s path forward.
